Girl Scouts is turning 100!

Happy 100th Anniversary, Girl Scouts! On March 12, 1912, Juliette Gordon Low phoned her cousin Nina with those now-famous words that launched Girl Scouting in the United States. In 1912, there was no path to leadership for women. Juliette knew it would take an organization of all girls to change the world that she saw. Today, Girl Scouts is the nation’s largest leadership development program helping build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.

The upcoming 100
th Anniversary of Girl Scouts in 2012 is that once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to celebrate our history and we want as many Girl Scouts as possible, both girls and adults, to participate.  Visit the following websites for the latest information on all the festivities planned for our 100th Anniversary and the Centennial Take Action Project to be held on October 13, 2012 - a service project to improve our water resources, and focus on water conservation and protection.  Up to date information will also be provided at the monthly Eagan Service Unit Leader/Volunteer meetings.
