CLOSING FLAG CEREMONY

Here are the commands for Closing Flag Ceremony: 


Colorguard, Advance  (The colorguard has gotten in formation in the back of the room or horsehoe (same formation as Opening except the flag bearer does not have the flag.  It is still in the post)  At the command to advance, the colorguard moves forward and stands in front of the flag.


Colorguard, Salute  Same salute as in Opening.  The colorguard is just given another opportunity to honor the flag.


Colorguard, Retire the Colors  Flag bearer steps forward and takes the flag out of the post.  Returns to position still facing forward.


Open Rank  Same as Opening.  Flag bearer turns around, other colorguard turn and face the person across from them


Colorguard, Dismissed  Same as Opening.  Flag Bearer leads the way, the others follow shoulder to shoulder as the Flag passes them.

They continue until they are at the back of the room or outside the horseshoe.
