Step Three: sign up for Basic Leadership and Program Age Level Training

Basic Leadership Training is required for leaders getting started with a troop.  It provides information on how Girl Scouting is organized and helps answer your troop-related questions.

Program age level training is required for leaders to have a better understanding of the age level they are working with.  Participants learn about awards that can be earned by members of their troop, along with information on different aspects of their troop’s progression.  Training times and location are available in the Resource Guide, on the Council website (girlscoutscv.org) or by calling the adult services department at 651-251-1212.  You must pre-register for these trainings.

Step Four: attend service unit leader meetings (1/month)

Each service unit has leader meetings.  The date and time of your meeting is listed below.  If you have any questions about the meetings, please contact your Service Unit Manager.
