GSUSA  Mission Statement

 

NEW MISSION STATEMENT: At the National Council Session held in October 2005,

delegates officially voted and approved a new mission statement for the  Girl
Scouts of the U.S.A. - "Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence,
and character, who make the world a better place."  This new mission
statement illustrates that Girl Scouting offers a girl countless
opportunities to expand her boundaries and connect with other girls and
her community, in which she can courageously share her heart, confidently
speak her mind, and demonstrate the character to lead others.

 


The Girl Scout Promise

On my honor, I will try:

To serve God and my country;

To help people at all times,

And to live by the Girl Scout Law

The Girl Scout Law

I will do my best to be

honest and fair,

friendly and helpful,

considerate and caring,

courageous and strong, and

responsible for what I say and do,

and to

respect myself and others,

respect authority,

use resources wisely,

make the world a better place, and

be a sister to every Girl Scout.
