Operation Christmas Child

Thousands of shoeboxes filled with small gifts for children are processed in the Twin Cities and set to needy children all over the world. Volunteers are needed to inspect the boxes and ready them for shipment. Must be at least 12 years old. Starting Nov. 19, work shifts anytime from 8 am to 11 pm. Location: 11001 Hampshire Ave. S. Children's Home Society & Family Services is an organization with the mission to help children thrive, and to strengthen, build and sustain individual, family and community life. They have many programs that serve children, their families and the frail and isolated elderly.  They also have many youth volunteer opportunities available, and would like to work with youth or their leaders to find a project that will work for them.
